Jack & Libby Louman Pastor Jack Louman has faithfully served City Bible Church for over thirty years. He has played a pivotal role in building the local church from administrator, to Pastoral Ministries and overseen many areas of the church. For the last ten years, Jack has served the Senior Pastor as an Executive Pastor and both he and his wife Libby have a powerful ministry of encouraging and strengthening churches. They travel nationally and internationally ministering to local church pastors using their pastoral, administrative, and prophetic voice to strengthen and establish the body of Christ. They met and married in 1976, after Libby came from Ireland to attend Portland Bible College. They have two children, Jack and Julianne and both Jack and Libby are blessed and excited to be apart of what God is doing in New York City.
Mark & Susan Jones Dr. Mark Jones graduated from Oregon Health Science University School of Dentistry in 1983 and has been in full time private practice since that time. He has conducted adult education classes and Personal Growth Seminars entitled Right and Wrong Thinking along with All Things New Retreats in local churches across the nation. Mark has also been involved in pastoral and prayer ministries, and is now the prayer pastor of City Bible Church where he and Susan have raised their four children and have faithfully served as Elders for the last fifteen years.
JR Nunez Born and raised at City Bible Church in Portland, Oregon, JR has been serving in many areas since he was young. He’s always had an interest the creative arts, and been a part of productions for over 10 years, through video, media, music, and drama. After completing a ministry internship in 2000, he then came on staff in the Evangelism Department at City Bible Church, in 2001. In the last five years, JR has traveled with the Eternity Production to over 75 churches as a technical director, assistant director, and now currently an outreach director. He is multi-faceted in his gifts and talents and not only faithfully served his local church, but has had the privilege of serving pastors and churches across the nation. JR is a natural servant leader with the ability to rally his generation. He has served in youth ministry and young adults, and has a heart and passion to see lives touched and changed through the power of the Gospel. His motivation is to help others find their purpose and fulfillment in Jesus Christ, and is looking forward to being apart of the New York City Church plant.
Andy & Francis Robinson Andy was born the oldest of four children, and was raised in Vancouver, WA. Andy brings to the table a love for people and a servant’s heart. Andy learned the construction trade from his father and has grown up in the family business. He graduated from City Christian High School in 1997, and graduation, went on a short term mission trip to Brazil. Since then, he fell in love with traveling and seeing peoples lives changed for God. In November of 1999, he went on his first trip with Eternity to Mexico, and has been traveling with the production ever since. He’s had the amazing opportunity to minister to hundreds of churches and see many lives touched through the Gospel message of Eternity. In October of 2004, Andy met Frances on one of the Eternity trips, and they married June 24, 2006, and both are anticipating a move of God in a way never seen before in New York City. Born the youngest of 4 and a twin, Francis was raised in a diverse American family. Her dad being Mexican, born in Texas; and her mom a first generation American, was born and raised in Korea. Her parents met through the military, and two religions were presented to Francis growing up, both Buddhism and Catholicism. However, at the age of 15, Francis met Jesus and during that time, her parents were going through the process of divorce, and it took another two years to truly learn the meaning of Christianity. After high school, Francis attended Bible College for a year, to dig deeper into the word of God, and to gain a greater understanding of His purpose for her life. She has been a key role model in many young girls’ lives at her home church, Church For All Nations in Tacoma, WA, and is now a sales account executive. Francis is brings a gift mix of prayer and intercession, as well as the desire to reach out to the community and to see lives changed through the body of Christ.
Joy Seif Born into a family of artists and musicians, worship and creativity was a way of life for Joy. She began singing at the age of 3, and moved into organized choirs by 13. As a fashion merchandising major in college, she honed her skills in business, design, and marketing, while keeping her love for music alive. While in school, she toured with a vocal jazz ensemble, and later took on a job coordinating special events and fashion shows for a local specialty store. In 2000, Joy came on staff at City Bible Church and now uses her imagination and experience to extend the kingdom of God. Joy has helped to coordinate major conferences, outdoor events, community outreach programs, and overseen hundreds of volunteers. Her heart and passion is to see lives changed and many have been touched through various outreaches. Over the years, Joy has also been involved in leading small groups for teen-age and college age girls and has made it her goal to be a Godly example to the next generation. She continues to be involved in praise and worship, and for the last four years, has sung and played guitar in a worship band. Joy is very excited to be apart of the church team and will continue to use her talents and giftings for New York City Church.
Mike & Julie Grubbs (Page should show a pic of them together & then separately) Julie Grubbs Julie, a native Oregonian, was born and raised in a Christian home and grew up serving the church. From the age of eight, her natural talent and love for music inspired her to learn classical piano, which quickly grew to a career. Julie began composing and writing music at the age of eleven, and by high school, she had become an accomplished musician, and studied music in college. At age 17, Julie began teaching private lessons for City Bible Church and Portland Bible College, and has continued to expand her repertoire. Julie earned her Theology degree from Portland Bible College in 2003, and has been a key worship leader and been involved in music and special events for the last 12 years. She has been on staff at City Bible Church for the past 8 years has worked in Publishing, Marketing, Assimilation, and Conferences. Julie also has a pastoral heart for people and a natural way to counsel and relate to her generation, as well as a passion for the presence of God and to lead people into a greater understanding of who God is through worship. Julie married Mike in 2006, and both believe that they have been called to New York to serve the people and give them hope and knowledge of who God is. Michael Grubbs Mike was born in Seattle, WA, and was raised to love serving the house of God from a young age. Mike served as the Junior High Pastor at New Beginnings Church in Seattle, before moving to Portland, OR in 1999 to attend Portland Bible College. Mike began working as a Children’s Pastor at City Bible Church, his senior year, and in 2003 graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. His pastoral heart and love for people are what make him a well rounded, caring individual. Mike married Julie in 2006 after a long friendship, and both are anticipating the start of New York City Church and making a difference in lower Manhattan.
Brian & Christy Chappon Brian was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 16 he was radically saved through the ministry of City Church Seattle. After this life transforming time Brian was pastored, mentored, and trained under the incredible leadership of Pastors Wendell and Gini Smith, Pastor Steve Carpenter, Pastor Jude Fouquier. It was during these life changing years Brian captured a heart and passion to see the future generations transformed by the love of Jesus. Christy was born into a sixth generation Pastors home, and from a young age developed a love for the Lord and an enthusiasm for ministering to people. After graduating from Northwest University in the spring of 2000, Christy served the university as the Campus Ministry Coordinator for three and a half years. In February 2004 Christy joined the staff of Portland Christian Center as the Director of Volunteer Ministries and along with Brian served as Pastors over the University and Young Professionals Ministry. Over a strategic course of time God clearly kept opening doors for Brian’s business endeavors. These doors led Brian and Christy to a relationship with City Bible Church and the future ministry of New York City Church. Brian and Christy are dedicated to extending the Kingdom of God by reaching their generation through the message of Jesus Christ and the power of his love. They are excited to see God’s continual work of miracles as the New York City Church begins.
