Basic Beliefs

The purpose for New York City Church is very simple; we exist as a local church for the following basic reasons:

TO BE REAL New York City Church is sincere, genuine, real, and loving, it’s a place to come as you are, and experience the presence of God in a very real and powerful way.

Real – a church that is honest New York City Church is a place to find truth and acceptance; it’s a community of very real and honest people in an authentic environment that fosters spiritual growth and faith.

Releasing – a church that fulfills purpose We are a church that believes in finding a way to serve others. New York City Church is a place for people to function in their God given talent, find fulfillment, and their destiny in God.

TO BE RELEVANT Being relevant is being right in step with the current culture and trends we live in. New York City Church is concerned about making a difference in the lives of others in a way that is consistent with a modern day society.

Relevant – a church for today New York City Church is a church for today. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Realizing that we never want to forget yesterday, we live in the now, looking forward to tomorrow.

Raising – a church that raises leaders We are a church that equips, trains, and raises leaders to fulfill the mission and mandate that they have been called to. New York City Church is a place to find leadership development, mentorship, and direction to help fulfill the call of God in life.

TO BE RELATIONAL We are a church that believes that relationships are a foundational key, and a very important part of every day life. Relationships can affect every aspect of personal growth, so we strive to build strong healthy friendships that can last a lifetime. Reaching – a church that touches people New York City Church believes in reaching out to those outside our immediate four walls. Our heart is to connect with the people around us everyday with the unconditional love of Christ. Restore – a church that helps New York City Church believes that life change begins when we follow Jesus. Our heart and passion is to help those seeking support and encouragement and show them that Christ is the answer. Our goal is to bring hope and help, and in turn, help restore others to a right and healthy relationship with Christ.
